How can a funeral procession be a step toward healing? On May 10th 2008 there was a funeral procession in Knoxville, TN to remember the babies lost to abortion. It was also an invitation for mothers and fathers to come and grieve over a decision they now regret. To begin a healing process is to recognize something is wrong. The silence of the church and the politics that surround abortion have left many people hurt, confused and lonely. No fingers pointing, no shouting, no politics. The Procession of Healing is a remnant of people who believe everyone has a right to live and everyone can be forgiven.

If you are one of the many people who have been involved in an abortion, God wants to heal you. Jesus said "Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted." It seems strange but it's true. The Procession of Healing is about breaking the silence through the message of Jesus Christ. There are links on this website that can lead you to people who want to help. It's not too late and you are not too far away that Jesus can't reach out and heal you.

Every city in this nation needs to know that abortion is wrong. It destroys a life growing within a woman and the woman carrying the baby. It brings pain and suffering on relationships, marriages, mothers, fathers and more. Knoxville, TN lost 3100 lives in 2007 because of abortion. Many women are now hurting, lonely and confused. It's time for the church to open its arms and walk alongside those who are hurting from their past. It's time for the church to stand up for those who are not yet born but are very much alive. It is time for the church to mourn, to grieve and to see a nation healed.
